DISCUSSION WITH SUPERVISOR REGARDING FYP PROPOSAL

Week:    4

Activity: 

  • We have a meeting in MS Teams, bellow is the agenda of the meeting:


Objective:
  1. To discuss about FYP Proposal (Introduction, Problem Statement & Objective)
  2. To discuss about Market Validation (Market Survey)
  3. To discuss about Project Planning (WBS Diagram & Gantt Chart)
Content:
In this week, my supervisor, Dr Zaki showed some examples of introductions, problem statements and objectives of past projects, he showed examples of good and poor proposal writing. He instructed me to start writing the FYP Proposal so that I would not rush later.

In addition, I was introduced about Work Breakdown Structure or WBS Diagram, it breaks down a project in a visual, part by part and focus on one topic. It is a useful diagram for me as a FYP student to build and manage my project. Below is the visual example of WBS Diagram:



After WBS Diagram has been constructed, I can build a Gantt chart using the contents that have been arranged on the WBS Diagram. 

Last but not least, my supervisor suggested doing a survey to fish farmers, organizations or companies involved in aquaculture.

Result:
I plan to collect survey data through social media, following are lists of targeted persons that I want to survey:

To get feedback and suggestions. Content: In this week, I needed to present my proposal for final year project to the accessor. MEETING WITH KOLEJ PERIKANAN'S STUDENTS, VISIT FRI AND PROPOSE THE PROJECT Week :       9 Date:        7th & 8th  December 2022 Activity:  Have a meeting with Kolej Perikanan's Students Visit Fisheries Research Institute Glami Lemi at Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia Propose the projects. Seeking experience and knowledge Content: In this week, I had a meeting with students from Kolej Perikanan Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Lumut, Perak.
